Donor Engagement Tools For TIFF

Toronto International Film Festival

Throughout the year, we teamed up with TIFF to build donor engagement tools that keep excitement and drive donor conversations.

The Toronto International Film Festival is held each September and is one of the most exciting times to be in Toronto!

Although the festival runs in September, the need for donor engagement, is a year long process. Throughout the year, we team up with TIFF to build donor engagement tools that keep excitement and drive donor conversations.

The tools we build are campaign specific and request different actions from users based on the campaigns needs, but, they always reached the following goals:

Let’s talk about a few of the campaigns we worked on:

The ‘Add Your Voice’ Campaign

Tiff Add Your Voice

This engagement tool asked participants to help set the TIFF priorities for 2019. It asked participants to reflect on the main projects that TIFF is committed to, and reflect on which ones they find the most exciting.

This not only helped TIFF gain knowledge about where their donors want them to focus their efforts, but also helped spread knowledge about all the amazing projects TIFF is a part of.

We helped ensure this engagement tool was properly branded, engaging, followed a proper path, and was, of course, shareable.

The ‘Show Your Canadian Pride’ Campaign

Show your Canadian Pride

Through TIFF’s Film Circuit campaign, TIFF connects over 300,000 people across the country to help more Canadians see world-class cinema in their hometown, and that Canadian filmmakers can be seen by wider audiences.

Their Canada Day campaign aimed at reaching 2,500 new film lovers in 2020.

In order to spread the love for Canadian film, and help to reach this campaign goal, we helped build the ‘Show Your Canadian Pride’ engagement tool. This tool spread the word about how awesome the Canadian film industry is, by having participants vote for their favourite Canadian director, actors, and films.

We made this tool have a super Canadian feel, very shareable, engaging, and exciting for Canadians to take part in.

The ‘Share her Journey’ Campaign

Take Action to support woman in film

The TIFF’s Share her journey campaign is a five-year commitment to increasing participation, skills, and opportunities for women in film. It focuses on mentorship, skills development, media literacy, and activity for young people.

The Share Her Journey engagement tool asked users to commit to an action to support woman in film by:

We made this tool bright & colourful, shareable, and engaging.

We’ve loved working with TIFF to help bring their donor engagements tools to life, and cannot wait to keep finding novel and exciting ways to keep people involved in TIFF’s campaigns throughout the year.
